I moved to Spain in 2021 “just for a year” as a language assistant… and like every expat cliché ever, I fell completely in love with the slow mornings, the warm light, the endless plazas, and a version of myself I didn’t know existed.

Two years in Madrid, one in Valladolid, and now Zamora — each city has shaped me in ways I never expected. I learned how to navigate Spanish bureaucracy, survive on an aux salary, travel on a budget, switch from a student visa to a work permit, and build a life far from home.

From #Project82PH to Spain

Before moving abroad, I started “Project80PH”—a personal goal to visit every single one of the 80 provinces in the Philippines.
When Spain became my permanent home, I brought that same framework with me. Instead of just sticking to the major tourist hubs, I wanted to understand the reality of the entire country. That is why I am currently on a mission to visit all 50 Spanish provinces.

#PROJECT50SPAIN

My current goal is to visit all 50 Spanish provinces and create practical, DIY travel guides for every region. The list below tracks my progress. If a province is linked, click it to read my straightforward itineraries and logistical notes for that area.
